Instant payment or "Pay now." is an online payment method from Klarna. This payment method, which we at sendvalu now offer you, is based on online banking and provides many benefits for your transactions via sendvalu. The big difference to other payment methods on the Internet: Payments via Sofort Banking are not processed via your bank, but via the payment service provider Klarna.

How can I use Sofort Banking?

The use of instant banking enjoys increasing popularity among online payment methods. It is as easy and fast as any other payment method. And best of all, instant banking works without a credit card!
All you need to send money instantly via Klarna is your PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone and of course an internet connection. An online-enabled current account is the only requirement for being able to use Sofort Banking. You don't need any additional software and don't have to create another customer account anywhere - Klarna Payment works very easily with your sendvalu user account. How does Klarna work?

Log in to sendvalu or register if you don't have an account yet. Choose the recipient’s country and how much money you want to transfer. Enter the details of your recipient and your details and choose Klarna Payment as your payment method. From here you will be redirected to the external page of Klarna. There you enter your country, your bank code and the BIC of your bank and log in with your IBAN and your bank PIN.

The payment information, for example your recipient and the amount of money, is automatically filled out in the form. Klarna sends all data encrypted to your bank, so that you only have to complete Sofort Banking by entering your TAN. Your bank will send a TAN to your smartphone.

Instant banking is not an advance payment

sendvalu will receive the payment confirmation of your transaction in real time and your money transfer will be processed immediately. With Sofort Banking the recipient will receive the money within 48 hours at the latest, as usual with money transfers via sendvalu.

Why do I get redirected to Klarna during the payment process?

Klarna is a financial services provider that enables us to offer you instant bank transfer as a fast and secure payment method at sendvalu. In order to trigger your transaction and send your money promptly, Klarna poses as an intermediary between sendvalu and your bank. You don't have to enter your bank details on the pages of sendvalu and Klarna takes care of everything else. All payment information that you enter at sendvalu when paying with Sofort Banking is automatically transferred to Klarna's form.

After confirming the payment via Sofort Banking, Klarna sends all transaction data to your bank - automatically, you don't have to worry about anything. Sending money with sendvalu and Klarna is secure, fast and convenient!

Is Klarna safe?

The transfer of your data to Klarna is encrypted at all times. Thanks to the two-factor verification, Klarna Payment is just as secure as online banking at your bank. When using Klarna, you also enter your PIN and TAN independently of each other.

Once you have entered your PIN in the payment form at Klarna in your browser, your bank will send an SMS to your smartphone, just like in online banking, in which you will receive a unique TAN (transaction number) to confirm your payment. This TAN can be used for a limited period of time and only once. After that it is no longer valid. This guarantees the highest security standard for your payment at sendvalu and Klarna.

The process Sofort Banking takes place independently of sendvalu and is in any case secure if you use the latest software. For example, make sure that your browser is always up to date in order to prevent security gaps. How secure is my bank information?

Your bank details are entered in a secure form from Klarna and not at sendvalu. The login data and TANs of your bank are not stored and neither sendvalu nor Klarna have access to your confidential information.

Please note that Klarna immediately accesses your current account once per transaction, for example to insert the necessary data into the payment form. In this case, when using Sofort Banking, you give your login data and TANs to Klarna for technical purposes and for checking the account coverage.

How trustworthy is sending money via Klarna Payment?

The trustworthiness of all our partners is important to us so that we at sendvalu can guarantee you the highest security standards and a secure money transfer. The payment service provider Klarna, which handles all transactions via instant banking, protects your sensitive data from misuse and is obliged to use PIN and TAN exclusively for technical purposes. Your data is never stored and cannot be viewed by anyone.

Do I violate my bank's general terms and conditions with the payment method Sofort Banking?

The use of payment methods such as Sofort Banking does not violate the terms and conditions of your bank - so at sendvalu you can choose Klarna's payment method for your transactions without any worries!

The restrictions that every bank imposes on the transfer of PINs and TANs ultimately serve the security of your account and your money. However, entering your details into online payment services such as Klarna is an exception, as your bank must not prevent you from choosing the payment method that suits your needs online. When you make an instant banking transaction online, Klarna is committed to keeping your information encrypted and secure at all times.

According to the latest Europe-wide guidelines for payment transactions, services such as instant banking are legally recognised and subject to banking supervision. To make sure that no one really gets to your sensitive data, there are also a few simple things you can do yourself - so you can send money carefree via sendvalu and make your loved ones happy.

The right way to handle your sensitive data
