With sendvalu you can give something back: Helping others

How did your career at Sendvalu get started?

Slightly less than 5 years ago, I had the good fortune to work for Sendvalu. At this point in time my life was rather complicated, but this company gave me more than just a job, they gave me the opportunity to change my whole life. I started a new career and I had the time to work and to study. I would have never believed that I would be in the position where I could work for a money transfer company that sends money abroad. I love languages, love to help people, to learn about new cultures and this opportunity gave me the chance to practice the languages I had learned, to understand what people need and why they send money to families and friends when they are far away from home.

What was one of your best customer experiences?

I can tell you one story about a good customer of ours in Japan who was living far away from his home in Cuba. When I first made contact with him on Skype, I realized that I was doing more than just meeting a face. I was able to understand how valuable it is for our customers to send money to their families and to trust in our company. This customer and I could understand each other as we both spoke Spanish. He asked me where I was from and I explained to him that I ‘m from Colombia. He was living in Japan and the way of life there was completely different from his home in Cuba, but he was doing it for his family. We also exchanged some personal experiences about living abroad. From that moment, I understood my duty to the company and to the customer. I was not just providing excellent service, I was also helping people to send more than money, to send Value - I really love to help!
